Soil properties and strata allocation.

Clockwork implements updated theories for obtaining soil impedances for layered soils.

Define your own soil layer types by entering layer parameters (Shear Modulus, Poisson's Ratio, Hysteretic Damping, Unit Weight)

Available soil models for homogeneous half-space, soil layers on rigid rock and layered soils. All these soil models allow embedded foundations.

To embed a foundation can be done stretching the concrete block until it reach the desired depth or by moving the entire foundation to the desired depth.

The foundation embedment can span many soil layers.

Clockwork is accompanied by a library of soil properties labeled “Classified Soils”. These soil library contain parameters belonging to recognized standards which are used worldwide.

This library can be expanded by the user pressing (in the “Soil Classification” form) the “Add Classified Soil” button and entering a name for the new classification.

Engineering formulae are given to estimate soil parameters from SPT tests,that are automically assigned to the soil model.

Soil under the water table can be simulated by adjusting the soil parameters.

Variable soil parameters with depth can be simulated defining thin layers with different properties.
